What is really the origin of things and how do they grow?

Consider the origin of things.

Consider that an oak tree to be spawned by the acorn exists in the universe. Consider that an acorn is simply the channel through which the oak tree emerges from the universe. The elements of nature conspire with the acorn to transform and express itself as an oak tree. The acorn, and certainly the tree need the universe's elements of fertile soil, rain, and sunshine.

Indeed once the acorn falls onto soil it begins to attract the elements it needs to transform into an oak tree. Yes, it attracts what it needs to fulfill its purpose. A rock or a raspberry seed falling on the same soil would not attract and combine with the all same elements and proportions that an acorn does.

The acorn can only express its full potential as an oak tree. An acorn can't be a seed for a tulip or a tadpole. It is designed only to be an oak tree or food for squirrels.

Of course the right environment and circumstances play a role. Did the acorn fall on a rock, or did the squirrels eat it, or was there a drought. But still the acorn remains a channel for its purpose expressed or not.

Consider this in the context of yourself and others. What are you a channel for? Do you consider yourself a channel of transformation for a unique purpose? Are you cooperating with the universe to transform and fulfill that purpose? Are you in the right environment to express yourself? Are you conspiring with others to help them transform and express who they are?

Two Extraordinary Stories...So Far
Within a few days of our launch something extraordinary happened. Two people created and displayed Mikons that confirmed that remarkable people will do courageous things and benefit us all.

Brandon
The most heartwarming story is of Brandon. He made this Mikon. Click on it and read his tags. The first thing in the morning I usually check the Mikons that people have made the night before and Brandon's was there. When I read his tags and studied his Mikon I had that emotional tension of sadness and joy. I was in despair for Brandon's feeling of his situation and in joy because of the connection that the vision of Mikons had made.

I wrote him to express my gratitude for his courage to reveal himself. This kind young man reflected his experience in his blog. (Mikons is mention about half ways down the second page - this blog speaks for itself).

Brandon may loose his ability to blog because he can't afford to keep it going. His grandmother is presently paying for it, but her funds are limited. Please contact us at yourfriends@mikons.com if you feel moved to help Brandon keep expressing himself.

Swastika
Ibitsu, a Japanese Mikoner, made this Mikon. Within a few hours we had several "Report Abuse" flags ping us. So I went to read what he had said about it. He called it a Manji, which is ancient Buddhist symbol for benevolence. You can read the rest of his description. You can go to wikipedia to learn more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika.

It happened again. The vision of Mikons was being realized.

Ibitsu who lives in another culture and in a separate context from me made a symbol that to some in my culture might be offensive. But if understood in its context, that is, in the truth in which it was meant, then being insulted naturally gives way to defenseless awareness.

Connection and context. That is what we have aimed for with Mikons. Understanding and appreciating the context our lives opens us up for meaningful connections and true compassion. One of Mr. Rogers' favorite quotes was, "You can love anybody once you know their story". Is that true for you?

I am grateful of the contribution and the courage of Brandon and Ibitsu.

The shepherd drives the wolf from the sheep's throat, for which the sheep thanks the shepherd as a liberator, while the wolf denounces him for the same act as the destroyer of liberty.

Singing for Redemption

Prison gates won't open up for me
On these hands and knees I'm crawlin'
Oh, I reach for you
Well I'm terrified of these four walls
These iron bars can't hold my soul in
All I need is you
Come please I'm callin'
And oh I scream for you
Hurry I'm fallin'

Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
Say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me

Heaven's gates won't open up for me
With these broken wings I'm fallin'
And all I see is you
These city walls ain't got no love for me
I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story
And oh I scream for you
Come please I'm callin'
And all I need from you
Hurry I'm fallin'

Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
Say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me

Hurry I'm fallin'

NIckelback is a Canadian Band and their name is said to derive from when Mike Kroeger's brother would say, "Here's your nickel back" while giving customers back change when he worked Starbucks coffee shop.

Aesop's Fable about Unity or Destruction.

Aesop's Fable of: "The Four Oxen and the Lion".

A Lion used to prowl about a field in which Four Oxen used to dwell. Many a time he tried to attack them; but whenever he came near they turned their tails to one another, so that whichever way he approached them he was met by the horns of one of them.

At last, however, they fell a-quarrelling among themselves, and each went off to pasture alone in a separate corner of the field. Then the Lion attacked them one by one and soon made an end of all four.

United we stand, divided we fall.
